Father Frost and Summer is a Soviet animated fairy tale about Father Frost who discovers what summer is. The cartoon was directed by Valentin Karavaev in 1969.
Living in the North Pole, Father Frost has never seen summer and does not know what it is until children tell him about it at a New Year party. Father Frost is so inspired with the idea of summer that he decides to see it at all costs. He comes to the city where summer heat makes him feel unwell. Children treat Father Frost with ice cream and save him. Then they show him summer.
