On activity of companies abusing confidence of financial service customers

In order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, the Bank of Russia gives notice of the activity of organisations offering services to invest funds in ‘financial projects’ based on the principles of network marketing and financial pyramid.

Hard-selling advertising of websites offering citizens to participate in such projects is currently on surge. The participants’ income is supposed to be gained from the funds of the newcomers.

Here belong the websites of ‘financial projects’, including those operating under MMM brand.

Besides, the Bank of Russia continues to receive inquiries on the activity of companies offering services to settle household debts with banks and microfinance organisations, in particular the so called Razdolzhnitel service.

The Bank of Russia communicates that organisations offering such services and companies raising funds for ‘financial projects’ based on the principles of network marketing, including their successors, can mislead financial service customers, and advises citizens to be prudent and to abstain from coming into agreement with them.
