the denomination of the coin ‘10 РУБЛЕЙ’ (10 RUBLES), inside the figure ‘0’ hidden pictures of the number ‘10’ and the inscription ‘РУБ’ (RUB), visible alternately when changing the angle of vision, stylised images of laurel and oak branches on the left and on the right, respectively, the inscription ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA) along the top rim, the year of issue ‘2024’ along the bottom rim, the mint mark at the bottom right.

Tomsk was awarded the honorary title City of Labour Valour for the great contribution of its residents to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, uninterrupted manufacture of military and civilian products at industrial enterprises and people’s labour heroism and commitment.

During the war, Tomsk accepted and hosted over 30 evacuated enterprises and more than 50,000 evacuated people. As many as 20 Tomsk-based hospitals started to provide medical aid to the wounded already during the first months of the war. During the Great Patriotic War, they cured over 100,000 people.

Tomsk enterprises manufactured engines for tanks, planes and submarines, gas masks, rail sleepers, manometers, binoculars and power and telephone cables. A match factory manufactured an incendiary mixture for Molotov cocktails. The Tomsk sewing factory manufactured military shirts, underwear for soldiers, gloves and overcoats.

Every fortieth mine that exploded at the enemy’s feet was made in the vicinity of Tomsk. Two-thirds of all mines and shells extracted from the ground were detected by using mine detectors made in Tomsk.
