Obverse

in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2012 г." (2012), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse

in the centre of the coin disc on the mirror field - the trumpeter of the Akhtyr Regiment on the horse back, behind him - the army column of march with weapon and standards, in the background - a settlement, fields with stacks and groups of trees. Below - a shako over crossed weapon, standards and army accouterments, under them- inscription along the rim: "ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1812 ГОДА" (THE PATRIOTIC WAR OF 1812).
