Obverse

Reverse
a portrait of I.S. Turgenev, at the bottom to the left - a laurel branch and underneath the writer's facsimile signature, bellow - the dates "1818-1883".

Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev (1818-1883) - a Russian writer famous for the immaculate style of his prose. In his plays, short stories and novels he described in minute details the everyday life of Russian peasants, landlords and free-thinking intellectuals. Turgenev is also famous for his depiction of Russian nature.
