Obverse

a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, above it along the rim the inscription in a semicircle ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed with paired diamonds on both sides, under the coat of arms are the chemical symbol and fineness of the metal on the left and fine metal content and the mint mark on the right, at the bottom centre in three lines are the inscription ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES), and the year of issue ‘2024 г.’ (2024).

Reverse

a relief image of the complex of the buildings of the Suzdal Kremlin against the panorama of the ancient city, laser-treated for matte finishing; a stylised relief figure of a falcon – the city’s heraldic symbol at the bottom framed with an old Russian ornament laser-treated for matte finishing; and the relief inscription ‘1000-ЛЕТИЕ СУЗДАЛЯ’ (THE MILLENNIUM OF THE FOUNDATION OF SUZDAL) around the upper circumference.

Suzdal, the administrative centre of the Suzdal District of the Vladimir Region of the Russian Federation, is a town-museum and part of the tourist route of the Golden Ring of Russia. Suzdal is one of the most ancient Russian towns which was mentioned in the Primary Chronicle back in 1024.

In 1967, Suzdal became a town-museum according to the approved master plan of its development. With an abundance of monuments and its original architectural design intact, this town is second to none. Suzdal is a venue of numerous religious and civil architectural monuments of the 13th–19th centuries. Only nine square kilometres large, the historical part of the town collects 305 architectural, historical and cultural monuments.
