Bank of Russia takes part in work of Foreign Exchange Policy Advisory Board of Central (National) Banks of EAEU Member States and Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks
At the meeting of the Foreign Exchange Policy Advisory Board of Central (National) Banks of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Member States, which took place in Sochi, the parties discussed the specific aspects of the interaction of monetary policy with other state policies. The discussion was particularly focused on the approaches to the harmonisation of financial market legislation of the EAEU member states.
The heads of the parties’ regulators took part in the meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks for the first time. The topics discussed at the meeting included the 2023 results of the work performed by the banking sector of the member states of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks and its development prospects for 2024, the main areas of monetary policy and the regulators’ ESG activity. The participants also shared experience in regulating cryptoassets and digital rights.
