Bank of Russia issues Saint George the Victorious coins, as well as coins dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office and the 100th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic

On 10 January 2022, the Bank of Russia issues the following coins:

— an investment silver 3-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5111-0178) Saint George the Victorious and an investment gold 50-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5216-0060) Saint George the Victorious;

— a commemorative silver 3-ruble coin The 300^th Anniversary of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office of the Historical Events series (Catalogue No. 5111-0454);

— a commemorative silver 3-ruble coin The 100^th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic (Catalogue No. 5111-0455).

The investment silver 3-ruble coin (fine precious metal content 31.1 g, fineness 999/1,000) and the investment gold 50-ruble coin (fine precious metal content 7.78 g, fineness 999/1,000) have a round shape and are 39.0 mm and 22.6 mm in diameter, respectively.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim along the circumference.

The obverse of the coins bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coins ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES) and ‘50 РУБЛЕЙ’ (50 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2022 г.’ (2022), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the mint trademark, and fine metal content.

The reverse of the coins features a relief image of Saint George the Victorious on horseback killing a dragon with a spear.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The coins are minted in uncirculated quality.

The mintage:

— of the silver 3-ruble coin is up to 500.0 thousand pcs;

— of the gold 50-ruble coin is up to 500.0 thousand pcs.

The commemorative silver 3-ruble coins (fine precious metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925/1,000) have a round shape 39.0 mm in diameter.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim along the circumference.

The obverse of the coins bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2022 г.’ (2022), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the St. Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.

The reverse:

— of the coin The 300^th Anniversary of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office bears a relief image of the emblem of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against the background of an image of the building of the Prosecutor General’s Office laser treated for matte finishing, and the inscription: ‘300-ЛЕТИЕ РОССИЙСКОЙ ПРОКУРАТУРЫ’ (300^th ANNIVERSARY OF THE RUSSIAN PROSECUTOR OFFICE) at the bottom along the circumference.

The coin is minted in proof quality.

The mintage of the coin is 3.0 thousand pcs;

— of the coin The 100^th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic bears a relief image of the building of the Government of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic against the background of an image of Elbrus laser treated for matte finishing; on the left, there is a colour image of the coat of arms of the Republic; at the bottom there are inscriptions in four lines: ‘100 ЛЕТ’ (100 YEARS) and ‘КАБАРДИНО-БАЛКАРСКАЯ РЕСПУБЛИКА’ (KABARDINO-BALKAR REPUBLIC).

The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The coin is minted in proof quality.

The mintage of the coin is 3.0 thousand pcs.
