The Intercession Cathedral, the City of Voronezsh
Obverse
in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2009 г." (2009), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
to the left on the smooth surface - the image of the Intercession Cathedral, to the right - the golden inset in form of the bell with inscription on the inner surface of its lower edge: "Au 999 1,55", under it - inscription "ВОРОНЕЖ" (VORONEZSH), in the bottom part of the disc on the matted surface - inscription in two lines: "ПОКРОВСКИЙ СОБОР" (INTERCESSION CATHEDRAL).

The Intercession Cathedral war built in the City of Voronezsh in 1833-1835 supposedly by project of the local architect I.A. Blizyn. It is inserted in the list of the Federal Culture Heritage.
