Obverse
in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2009 г." (2009), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
architectural ensemble of the monastery, to the right - the stylized image of a branch, below - dates: "XVIII-XIX вв." (the XVIIIth-XIXth cc.), above on the matted surface of a scroll - inscription in two lines: "СВЯТО- ТРОИЦКИЙ СКАНОВ МОНАСТЫРЬ" (THE SAINT TRINITY SKANOV MONASTERY).

The Saint Trinity Skanov Monastery (village of Skanov)) was founded in XVIIth century. The architectural complex of monastery contains the Saint Trinity Cathedral (XVIIIth-XIXth cc.), the Bell-Tower with the Saint Nikolas Gate Church (late XVIIIth c.), the Church of John's the Prophet, Precursor and the Baptist of Our Lord Head Truncation (1809) and the Church Our Lady's Icon of Trubchevsk (1853).
