in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (TWENTY FIVE RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2006», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
in the centre of panoramic picture of monuments of Konevsky Monastery of the St. Virgin’s Nativity – the Cathedral of the St. Virgin’s Nativity against the background of a stylised image of an island, at the bottom to the left – the Sviatogorsky Konevsky Skete with the semicircular inscription: «КОНЕВСКИЙ СКИТ» (THE KONEVSKY SKETE), to the right – a church and a belfry with the semicircular inscription: «КАЗАНСКИЙ СКИТ» (KAZANSKY SKETE), at the top – the image of a chapel on a boulder with the semicircular inscription: «КОНЬ-КАМЕНЬ» (НОRSE STONE).
