The Building of the State Bank, the City of Nizhny Novgorod.
Obverse
in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2006», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
in the middle – the central front part of the bank building, under it – the inscription: «г. НИЖНИЙ НОВГОРОД» (THE CITY OF NIZHNY NOVGOROD). The inscription at the top on the matted field along the rim: «ЗДАНИЕ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОГО БАНКА» (THE BUILDING OF THE STATE BANK).

The Building of the State Bank in the city of Nizhny Novgorod (built in 1913, architect V.A.Pokrovsky) is an original construction that reminds together of a medieval castle and an ancient Russian terem (chamber). The inside rooms of the bank have been painted according to designs of the artist I. Bilibin.
