The Epiphany Cathedral (the XVIIIth century), Moscow
Obverse
in the centre – the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower – the semicircular inscription – «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top – «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom – the year of issue «2004», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
the view of architectural ensemble of the Epiphany Cathedral, the inscriptions to the right in two lines: «ОСН. в 1792 г.» (FOUNDED in 1792), lower – «МОСКВА» (MOSCOW), the inscription at the top along the rim: «БОГОЯВЛЕНСКИЙ СОБОР» (THEEPIPHANY CATHEDRAL).

The Epiphany Cathedral (Patriarchal Cathedral up to the middle of the 90th of the XXth century) founded in 1792 in Moscow and built in 1835-1845 after the design of the architect E.D.Tyurinhas two aisles: the southern aisle of the St. Virgin Annunciation, the northern one – of St. Nicholas.
