The Yuryev Monastery (the XII-th- XIX-th centuries) is the most ancient men's monastery in Novgorod which has been founded by the Prince Vsevolod on the left shore of the River Volkhov. The Yuryev Monastery, having its unique individual style, being simple, laconic and expressive, is a vivid example of the Novgorod culture.
