the picture of a musk rat. The inscription at the bottom along the rim: "ВЫХУХОЛЬ" (THE MUSK-RAT).

The musk-rat (Desmana moschata Linnaeus) inhabits the basin of the Volga, Don, Ural rivers, is also acclimatized in the basin of the Oby River and protected by the State. It leads a half-aquatic existence. The population of this species is reducing owing to the breach of its environment inhabitation.
