Nadezhda Ivanova retires, Rustem Mardanov to head Bank of Russia Main Branch for Central Federal District

On 16 April 2023, Nadezhda Ivanova, a member of the Bank of Russia Board of Directors and the Head of the Bank of Russia Main Branch for the Central Federal District, retires from the Bank of Russia.

Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina noted: ‘Nadezhda Ivanova joined the Bank of Russia back in 1975 — she is both a unique guardian of our history and a generator of changes. Ms Ivanova participated in the development and implementation of financial reforms that played a key role for the country. Over the period of her work in the Bank of Russia Main Branch for the Central Federal District, she did a tremendous job to develop economic competences in the Main Branch and the Bank of Russia’s regional research in general. I would like to thank Nadezhda Ivanova for her incredible and invaluable contribution to the Bank of Russia’s activities.’

From 1 May 2023, the Bank of Russia Main Branch for the Central Federal District will be headed by Rustem Mardanov who is currently the leader of the Bank of Russia Ural Main Branch. Until this day, Ilshat Yangirov will be acting Head of the Bank of Russia Main Branch for the Central Federal District.
