Bank of Russia files lawsuit against Euroclear with Moscow City Arbitration Court

The Bank of Russia files a lawsuit against Euroclear for recovery of damages with the Moscow City Arbitration Court. The said lawsuit is related to unlawful activities of the Euroclear depository that cause damage to the Bank of Russia and the fact that the European Commission officially considers proposals for direct or indirect use of Bank of Russia assets without authorisation.

The activities of the Euroclear depository have inflicted damage on the Bank of Russia, as the latter is unable to use its funds and securities.
