On cancelling licences of professional securities market participant

The Bank of Russia took a decision to cancel the licences of a professional securities market participant to carry out broker activity and dealer activity of the closed joint-stock company KONTO.

The reasons to take these decisions to cancel the licences were the repeated violations within a year of the requirements of Russian securities legislation and the requirements stipulated by Article 7 of Federal Law No. 115-FZ, dated 7 August 2001, ‘On Countering the Legalisation (Laundering) of Criminally Obtained Incomes and the Financing of Terrorism’.
