On suspending insurance licences

The Bank of Russia suspended insurance licences of the following entities:

closed joint-stock company Medical Insurance Company ASK-Med (registration number in the unified state register of insurance agents 1420) (Bank of Russia Order No. OD-427, dated 24 February 2015);

closed joint-stock company Insurance Company ASK-Petersburg (registration number in the unified state register of insurance agents 1709) (Bank of Russia Order No. OD-428, dated 24 February 2015).

These decisions were taken due to the insurance companies’ failure to duly meet the Bank of Russia instructions and become effective the day they are published in a printed media.

The suspension of licence prohibits the insurance company from entering into new contracts of insurance and introducing amendments resulting in increase in obligations under the current contracts.
