The meeting was attended by representatives of the Bank of Russia, Reserve Bank of India, Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank), Exim Bank of India, Russian banks, and the Embassy of India in Moscow.
The working group’s objectives are to reveal barriers for developing mutual settlements between Russia and India in the national currencies, work out recommendations to overcome them and settlement mechanisms which could be used by Russian and Indian commercial banks.
