On bringing into force of Bank of Russia recommendations on standardisation

From 1 May 2015, the Bank of Russia brings into force documents of the Bank of Russia Set of Standardisation Documents ‘Maintenance of Information Security of the Russian Banking System Organisations’ (hereinafter — BR IBBS Set):

The Bank of Russia Recommendations on Standardisation ‘Maintenance of Information Security of the Russian Banking System Organisations. Information Security Resource Provision’ (RS RB IBBS-2.7-2015);

The Bank of Russia Recommendations on Standardisation ‘Maintenance of Information Security of the Russian Banking System Organisations. Maintenance of Information Security when Using Virtualisation Technology’ (RS RB IBBS-2.8-2015).

Documents of BR IBBS Set are worked out and brought into force in order to increase information security of Russian banking system organisations in compliance with Federal law No. 184-FZ, dated 27 December 2002, ‘On Technical Regulation’ by the decision of the Standardisation Sub-Committee ‘Security of Financial (Banking) Transactions’ (PK1) of the Technical Standardisation Committee ‘Financial Transaction Standards’ (TK122) of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology.

Documents of BR IBBS Set are recommended to facilitate the compliance of Russian banking system organisations with the Russian legislation on personal data.

Documents of BR IBBS Set will be published on the Bank of Russia website in subsection Information Security of the Russian Banking System Organisations of section Information on Credit Institutions.
