On issuing of commemorative coin of precious metals
On February 16, 2016 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues a commemorative coin of precious metals:
- A silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles — „Shoana Early Christian Church, Karachayevo-Cherkesiya Republic” (catalogue number
5111-0330) of the series „Architectural Monuments of Russia”.
Description of the coin of precious metals:
A silver proof coin in denomination of 3 Roubles (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925/1000, diameter 39.0 mm, mintage 3000 pcs) has the rim raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated.
The obverse side of the coin bears a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation. There are inscriptions: „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin — „3 РУБЛЯ” (3 ROUBLES) and the year — „2016”, an indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, purity, trade mark of the Moscow mint and fine precious metal content.

The reverse side of the coin depicts a relief image of Shoana church in Karachayevo-Cherkesiya Republic. There are inscriptions along the circumference: „ШОАНИНСКИЙ ДРЕВНЕХРИСТИАНСКИЙ ХРАМ
