Investors actively deposit funds into IIAs
In 2025 Q2, the growth in the number of individual investment accounts (IIAs) accelerated. Their number increased by nearly 94,000, exceeding 6.2 million. Brokers’ clients continued to actively deposit funds into IIAs, preferring bonds when selecting assets.
The net inflow of funds into brokerage accounts equalled ₽39 billion (vs ₽36 billion in 2025 Q1). Due to the replenishment of IIAs and a positive revaluation of Russian bonds, total assets held in IIAs reached ₽680 billion.
The portion of debt securities in the portfolio of investors was up to 39%, while the portion of Russian shares dropped to 33%, which is the lowest level since 2023 Q2. Cash holdings accounted for only 6% of the portfolio.
