Bank of Russia presents Bank Premises photo exhibition
On April 5, 2019, the Bank of Russia opened a photo exhibition titled ‘Bank Premises’, on Nikitsky Boulevard in Moscow.
The exhibition showcases 30 photographs depicting the buildings that currently house the Bank of Russia. Each building is a listed historical and cultural monument of federal, regional, and local significance.
The buildings were built in the 19th - early 20th century in various styles ranging from classicism and modernism to constructivism and Socialist classicism. They illustrate, beyond Russia’s architectural heritage, the national attitude to banking as a respectable and reliable concern throughout history.
The exhibition is timed to coincide with the International Day of Monuments and Historic Sites, and the Days of Historical and Cultural Heritage in Moscow, and will run until April 30, 2019.
