Number of counterfeit rubles goes down in Russia: 2024 results

In 2024, counterfeiting reached its lowest level over the past few years (only one counterfeit per one million banknotes in circulation). In total, 8,240 counterfeit Russian banknotes and coins were detected in the banking system, with 5,000-ruble and 1,000-ruble banknotes accounting for 64% and 27% of this number, respectively.
