Inflation expectations climb

December 2024 saw one-year-ahead household inflation expectations increase to 13.9% from 13.4% in November, as shown by the InFOM’s survey. Expectations rose among respondents both with and without savings.
The consumer sentiment index plummeted to a two-year low. Business price expectations climbed again.
