Monitoring businesses: business climate estimates stay close to their highs

The Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index (BCI) edged down to 10.1 points in April (vs 10.6 points in March). Changes in both current estimates and expectations of output were minimal. Demand estimates decreased slightly but remained close to their historical highs. In general, the BCI stayed near
Companies' estimates for investment activity were record-breaking. In April, price expectations of businesses were up for the first time since the beginning of the year.
