Bank of Russia to issue new commemorative coins
On 30 December 2015, the Bank of Russia issues into circulation a silver coin to commemorate the 150 anniversary of the Kalmyk capital of Elista. The reverse of the coin bears a relief image of the Elista emblem, and the Elista-located Syakyusn Syume khurul, Palace of chess and fountain Three lotuses. Under the emblem there is an inscription ‘Основан в 1865 году’ (‘Founded in 1865’). The mintage of the three-ruble coin is 3,000 pcs.

The Bank of Russia also issues into circulation three-ruble silver coins dedicated to the Symbols of Russia - Kizhi, the Kolomna Kremlin, Mamayev Kurgan, the Lake Baikal, Peterhof, the Pskov Kremlin, Rostov Kremlin and the Holy Trinity — St. Sergius Lavra. The regular coins bear a relief image and will be minted by 4,500 pcs each. The special coins have coloured image, the mintage is 500 pcs for each type.
