On 31 March 2022, the Bank of Russia issues a commemorative silver 25-ruble coin ‘Sviyazhsk Town-Island Museum Reserve, Republic of Tatarstan’ of the Architectural Monuments of Russia series (Catalogue No. 5115-0158).

The 25-ruble silver coin (fine metal content 155.5 g, fineness 925/1,100) has a round shape and is 60.0 mm in diameter.

The obverse and the reverse of the coin have a relief rim along the circumference.

The obverse of the coin bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination ‘25 РУБЛЕЙ’ (25 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2022 г.’ (2022), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the St. Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.

 

The reverse of the coin features relief images of the Sviyazhsk town-island in the centre, a wooden ship at the lower left, the emblem of Sviyazhsk at the top, and ribbons with the inscription ‘ОСТРОВ-ГРАД СВИЯЖСК’ (SVIYAZHSK TOWN-ISLAND) along the upper circumference.

 

The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The coin is minted in proof quality.

The mintage is 1.0 thousand pcs.

The new coin is legal tender of the Russian Federation and is mandatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at its face value.
