Professional market participants to classify non-residents at admission to on-exchange trading

Brokers and management companies will be responsible for the trusted identification of non-residents. This follows from the Bank of Russia's information letter.
Non-residents representing friendly countries and foreign companies whose ultimate beneficiaries are Russian legal entities or private individuals are authorised to trade in the Moscow Exchange starting from 8 August 2022.
To give admission to trading to a foreign client, professional market participants must check which country such client is a resident of. If a broker provides the exchange with false information on a foreign client, the Bank of Russia will apply supervisory response measures.
