Issue of new Bank of Russia notes

On 12 October 2017, the Bank of Russia issued its new 2017 notes worth 200 and 2,000 rubles.

The 200 ruble note features the Monument to the Sunken Ships in Sevastopol on its front side. The back features the Tauric Chersonese (Khersones Tavrichesky) State Museum and Reserve.

On the front side, the 2,000 ruble note features Russky Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge in Vladivostok connecting Russky Island with the city’s mainland. On the reverse side, there is an image of Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The notes are legal tender in the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance at their face value for all kinds of payments without any restrictions.
