Derivatives market recovers gradually, most actively in interest rate derivatives segment

News
The financial derivatives market has been bouncing back since 2023, albeit step by step due to limited access to foreign markets and difficulties with settlements.
The segment of interest rate derivatives has been developing most actively mainly thanks to transactions conducted by major banks and the growth of lending at variable rates.
Transactions with some types of underlying commodities have not recovered yet or remain at minimum levels. Precious metals are predominantly used as underlying assets for commodity derivatives.
Transactions with other types of derivatives are conducted irregularly, often on a one-off basis.
