5 February 2018
Press release

On 5 February 2018, the Bank of Russia issues a commemorative coin in denomination of 10 rubles „Kurgan Region” of the series „Russian Federation”.

The coin has a round shape, with a 27.0 mm diameter. The combined coin consists of two parts: a disc made of white metal and an outer ring around the disc made of yellow metal. The coin has a rim raised on both sides along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated and has an inscription „ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ” (TEN RUBLES) recurring twice and divided by asterisks.

The obverse side of the coin has inscriptions along the circumference: „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA) on top, „2018” at the bottom. On the left and on the right sides of the outer ring of the coin there are stylised images of laurel and oak branches respectively, going over to the disc. In the centre of the disc there is an indication of the face value of the coin — the figure „10” and the inscription „РУБЛЕЙ” (RUBLES). Inside the figure „0” there is a security sign in the form of the figure „10” and an inscription „РУБ” (RUB) visible when changing the angles of vision. In the lower part of the disc there is a trademark of the Mint.

The reverse side of the coin has a relief image of an emblem of the Kurgan Region. There are inscriptions on the ring along the circumference: „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) on top, „КУРГАНСКАЯ ОБЛАСТЬ” (KURGAN REGION) at the bottom.

The mintage of the coin is 10.0 million pcs.

The coin is a legal tender of the Russian Federation. It is obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
