About the Journal

Established in 1938, Russian Journal of Money and Finance (former name is Money and Credit) is the oldest Russian banking periodical.

Starting from 2018, the journal will be converted into an open access scientific quarterly with a primary focus on academic research papers to be published in both Russian and English.

Russian Journal of Money and Finance will predominantly cover issues related to:

      • monetary economics including monetary policy
      • financial markets
      • banking
      • FinTech and Big Data in economics and finance.

The journal seeks to publish a wide variety of researchers’ views in these fields of study.

The new periodical’s objectives include:

      • establishing an authoritative platform to discuss research concepts, issues and tasks in economics, finance, banking and financial technology
      • providing support for the development of economic science in Russia, promoting scientific research and expanding its target audience
      • encouraging the integration of scientific research and practice

Russian Journal of Money and Finance is included in the list of leading scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission and the Web of Science - Russian Science Citation Index. There are plans to secure its future entry into Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection international databases.

The transformation of the journal entails changes to both its format and management structure. We are organising Co-Editors team to be composed of Russian and foreign academics who conduct active research and whose publications appear in leading global economic and financial journals. The Co-Editors will be actively involved in content selection and preparation, devising a procedure for its review. The Editor-in-Chief is Bank of Russia First Deputy Governor Ksenia Yudaeva, Ph.D. in Economics (MIT).
