Estimate of External Debt of the Russian Federation as of March 31, 2024

According to the Bank of Russia’s estimate, external debt of the Russian Federation as of March 31, 2024 totaled $304.0 billion, having decreased by $12.8 billion, or by 4.1%, since the end of 2023. This dynamics was mainly influenced by the reduction in other sectors’ liabilities on raised loans, including within the framework of direct investment relationship.
