Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins of precious metal

On 1 October 2019, the Bank of Russia will issue silver proof commemorative coins of the Jewellery Art in Russia (Jewellery Items of the Firm of Bolin) series:

— in the denomination of 3 rubles

— in the denomination of 25 rubles

— in the denomination of 25 rubles with coloured paintwork.

Silver proof coins in the denomination of 3 rubles (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925/1,000) and 25 rubles (fine metal content 155.5 g, fineness 925/1,000) have a round shape 39.0 mm and 60.0 mm in diameter respectively.

The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim along the circumference.

The obverse of the coins bears a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions: ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coins ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES), ‘25 РУБЛЕЙ’ (25 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2019 г.’ (2019), an indication of the metal according to the Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, fineness, trade mark of the Saint Petersburg Mint, and fine metal content.

The reverse:

— of the 3-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5111-0410) and the 25-ruble coin (Catalogue No. 5115-0150) bears a relief image of a jewellery item made by Bolin — a silver-mounted crystal pitcher with a stylised composition, laser treated for matte finishing, themed on other items of the firm in the background; along the circumference there are inscriptions: ‘ЮВЕЛИРНОЕ ИСКУССТВО В РОССИИ’ (JEWELLERY ART IN RUSSIA) at the top and ‘БОЛИНЪ’ (BOLIN) at the bottom;

— of the 25-ruble coin with coloured paintwork (Catalogue No. 5111-0151) bears a relief image of a jewellery item made by Bolin — a silver-mounted crystal pitcher with a stylised composition, laser treated for matte finishing, themed on other items of the firm in the background; a part of the image and the background are made with coloured enamel; along the circumference there are inscriptions: ‘ЮВЕЛИРНОЕ ИСКУССТВО В РОССИИ’ (JEWELLERY ART IN RUSSIA) at the top and ‘БОЛИНЪ’ (BOLIN) at the bottom.

The edge of the coins is corrugated.

The coins are minted in proof quality.

The mintage of:

— 3-ruble coins: 3,000 pcs;

— 25-ruble coins: 1,500 pcs;

— 25-ruble coins with coloured paintwork: 1,000 pcs.

The new coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
